Hello Tweeters,Took onother look of the Yellow-billed Loon today ,mainly to get closer photos of this bird.It took me three hours today to spot this bird on a low tide.When i finaly saw the Loon he was close to the Jetty.There was no Sun when i took the photos and i was no further than 20 feet from this bird.He than posed by steady preening stretching his wings and than start diving steady,but never to far..When i was standing watching this Loon large groups of Western and Least Sandpipers flying over and settling on the Jetty.I never witnessed this on Ocean shores before seeing the shorebird on the jetty rather than using the beach standing there body on body.I could had 3000 shorebirds all standing on the rocks.What a sight,i wonder than how one can pick out a Stint species?
I left for Tokland where me an Ryan again spotted the Bar-tailed Godwit ..One more species adding to the list where seven Willets.
