Wayne is quite right. Not impossible but certainly not expected. By the way,

birding my business? Not exactly.)

I did a cross-country atlas hike north of Snoqualmie Pass with Hal
Opperman... Kendall Peak and Alpental, and found several Gray-crowned Rosy
Finches above 6000 feet near the summits of Lundin and Snoqualmie Peaks...
including one juvenile. They're hard to come by in King County.
