intersting question.. I'm not sure what the answer is as
I don't use glasses with bins..there's no need.

`Bifocals are for reading up close..they do have the
advantage that the top part of the lens is not distorted
at the periphery the way the blended lenses are. I
actually were both. I had my sunglasses ground with
bifocals as I was flying a lot at the time and in the
cockpit you need to be an eyeball clicker all the time
and it's a nuisance turnin your head to see something
like you must do with blended lenses.. i.e., with the
blended lens you need to point your nose at what you
want to look at (turn your head to face it).. with
bifocals you can eyeball it peripherally..

I don't know if that helps.. I switch back and forth
as my regular glasses are blended and I use them to
read.. i find the graduated blend easier to use than
the slam bang bifocal, which is what it is and no
in between.. the blended lens "slides" a little into
what you're looking at.

If you can use your bins without glasses and adjust them
to accommodate to your eyes, I'd do that.
