I've read more than know about the cleanliness of pigs :

- given enough space, they designate one latrine area
- and happily learn to take showers specially designed for their abilities

The reason they wallow in mud is because they have sense enough to
cover and protect with mud all that hairless skin from the sun's rays -
unlike the people who pay for those tanning coffins or lie on beaches .....
