The last sighting of ELEGANT TERNS on the Necannicum Estuary was
7/19. A FRANKLIN'S GULL was there on 7/20 along 100+ SEMIPALMATED
PLOVERS (including one that was unusually pale), about 50 WESTERN
SANDPIPERS and a few LEAST SANDPIPERS. A PARASITIC JAEGER was
reported from the beach at Gearhart on 7/22.

GREATER YELLOWLEGS numbers are building 7 were on Stanley Lake
in Seaside. A SPOTTED SANDPIPER was at the Newanna Wetlands.

A noisy HAMMOND'S FLYCATCHER and a GRAY JAY were on Nicolai Mt
on 7/19.

Sparrows are busting out all over. 16, mostly still in juvenile
plumage, WHITE CROWN SPARROWS were on the corner of Wahanna and
Avenue S during point counts at the Neawanna. There are plenty
of juvenile SAVANNAH SPARROWS on Wireless Rd. A juvenile
BROWN-HEADED COWBIRD was being fed by COMMON YELLOWTHROATS at
the Neawanna Wetlands.
