This morning at about 8:30 at White Pass campground I seen two Williamson's
sapsuckers. One male adult and one imm. Male. They were located where they
were reported before at camp site #8. I camped at camp site #8 and didn't
see them till Sun am. They were feeding in surrounding trees and returning
to a dead snag next to the lake edge in camp site #8. The tree had holes in
it so they were most likely nesting. It seems as though they are sticking
around. Good luck, it was for me because we were just leaving to backpack up
the Pacific Crest Trail.
