Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This
report was made Thursday July 27. If you have anything to add call Harry
Nehls at 233-3976.

On July 24 a male BLUE-WINGED WARBLER was reported from the heavy willow
patches along Indian Ford Creek where Squawback Road crosses the creek
north of Sisters. It is very elusive but has been seen daily since. Two
female REDSTARTS are also in the area.

A SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER and an AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVER were on the North
Spit of Coos Bay and six WILLETS were at Bandon last week-end.

On July 21 a PECTORAL SANDPIPER, a BLACK PHOEBE, and a juvenile LEAST
SANDPIPER were at the mouth of Ten Mile Creek in northern Coos County.

An ELEGANT TERN was at the Necanicum River mouth in Seaside July 19. It
has not been relocated. A FRANKLIN'S GULL was at the Necanicum mouth July
20, and a PARASITIC JAEGER was there July 22.

A LAZULI BUNTING was at Coon Point on Sauvie Island July 19. The RED-EYED
VIREOS were still singing at Virginia Lake on the Island that day.

Last week-end BLACK SWIFTS were seen at Salt Creek Falls southeast of
Eugene, YELLOW RAILS were calling along Dixon Road near Fort Klamath, and
a family of GRAY-CROWNED ROSY-FINCHES were at Crater Lake.

Thats it for this week.
