Tweeters,

I spent the weekend in Eastern Washington camped in Ephrata doing some very
warm birding. I was specifically targeting Snowy Egret and White-faced
Ibis. In two days I covered all accessible proper habitat from Coulee City
in the north all the way south to Othello, including the Potholes area and
the Sun Lakes areas. I found some great habitat but came up with no Egrets
whatsoever nor Ibis. The area around Wilson Creek that was flooded several
weeks ago and hosted the reported Ibis and Snowy Egret was now all dry.
Also the Wilson Creek Tri-colored Blackbird site produced not a single
Blackbird of any type in a 15 minute visit. This marsh area also appeared
much dryer. Nothing out of the ordinary to report although I added a number
of species to both my Grant and Adam Co. lists.
