I forget where Reardan Ponds is and in what county. Would you let us know?
If you want to find out about the development, contact the planning
department in the county the lake is located in. (Most counties have a
planning department where developers apply for permits.) You can probably
just start by calling the planning department's general number and tell them
what you want to know and go from there.

Subject: Possible Development of Reardan Ponds?

Tweeters,

This morning my dad went out to Reardan Pond to look for shorebird
migrants. He was unable to find any, because the grass is very high on the
edges of the pond.
While he was there he noticed that there is a sign on the west side of
the road in the middle of the pond that says "Future Home of the Silver Lake

Yacht Club." He also said that there is a phone number on the sign, but he
did not write it down. Does anyone know anything about this? It would be a

real shame if this area gets developed, as I think this is one of the top
shorebird spots in Eastern Washington.
