Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This
report was made Thursday June 1. If you have anything to add call Harry

On May 30 a HUDSONIAN GODWIT was at Miller Island WA south of Klamath
Falls.

A pair of VIRGINIA'S WARBLERS and a PLUMBEOUS VIREO have been at Malheur
NWR Headquarters all week. Other birds at Headquarters during the week
include REDSTART, BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER, TENNESSEE WARBLER, RED-EYED
VIREO, LEAST FLYCATCHER, and CATBIRD. A BAND-TAILED PIGEON was at the
Malheur Field Station May 27, and a COMMON GRACKLE was there May 31.

REDSTARTS and PLUMBEOUS VIREOS were at Fields during the week, and on May
26 a female ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was there.

WHITE-FACED IBIS continue to be seen in Western Oregon. They are moving
around quite a bit and are showing up in many areas.

A LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE and a GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW were near Cape Blanco
May 29. The next day a SWAINSON'S HAWK was seen there. Three BLACK SWIFTS
were at Flores Lake near Cape Blanco May 30. A YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD
was south of Yachats May 28. A WILLET and a LONG-BILLED CURLEW were with
WHIMBREL at Yaquina Bay May 28.

A bright PALM WARBLER was at Rock Creek Meadow south of Mollala May 28.
An ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER was at Tualatin NWR near Sherwood May 29. Six
FORSTER'S TERNS and a RED-NECKED PHALAROPE were at Ankeny NWR May 28. On
May 29 a LEWIS'S WOODPECKER was at the E.E. Wilson WA. A YELLOW-HEADED
BLACKBIRD was at Finley NWR May 27.

Up to 24 WHITE PELICANS are now at Fern Ridge Reservoir. A BRANT was at
Whitehorse Park near Grants Pass May 28.

Single BLACK-THROATED SPARROWS were reported during the week from Summer
Lake, Fort Rock, and from Hart Mountain. Several UPLAND SANDPIPERS were
seen and heard along Scotty Creek near Seneca May 28. A VEERY was at
Starr Campground a few miles farther north the same day.
