How thankful I am for those of you who are so knowledgable aout so many
birds!!!

I have struggled for several years, frying to learn shorebirds. They
are very difficult for me! I thin in part, because I don't have a buddy
to gobirding with who knows them!!

And then along comes a Tweeters prson whe went where I go, saw what I
probably saw yesterday, and posts the NAMES of those shore birds - so I
can compare names with pictures in the book nd with pictures I took !!
And work on learning which is which!!!

Yes, my good camera with 300 zoom and doubler is back on line , back in
my hand, and working, I hope. Will take the first roll of fill in to
get printed today - at a 1 hour photo place. If any good pix, will scan
them at a friends and post them.


Yesterday, wqandering in the Sequim area, finally saw the Eagles at the
nest with all those dead trees arouind it, --saw them close enough to
get a really good look at them. I think eagles are soooo awesome!

At the ponds at Three Crabs, in addition to the shorebirds, There were
blue winged teals and gadwalls and three sizes of ducklings. I am not
sure to whem the ducklings belonged to! some were with gadwall, some
with a mallard, I think, and some with nobody! - independent little
creatures! I would like to think some belonged to the blue winged teal
pair. - do parent ducks sometimes dooze on shore while babies swim
around in the water?????
