Here is the WOS Bird Box report as of June 4, 2000.
Submitted by Rebecca Galloway, Northgate, Seattle
(My first time; sorry if there're errors!)

June 4, Sun 11:50AM Stephen Mlodinow - near Eve Sewage ponds, wilson's phalarope, it was in the
horse pasture pond on the north side of 12th street, which is the street that forms the north
border to the sewage ponds. Also, at the Everett Sewage ponds there was a Redhead. Good luck and
good birding.

June 4, Sun 1:22 AM, Stephen Mlodinow on 6/3 Dennis Duffy and I birded around Adams, Grant and
Franklin Counties. The highlights included a White Faced Ibis at Columbia National Wildlife
Refuge, this bird was at marsh unit 2, at the southernmost pond. There was also a Greater Yellow-
Legs there. The next most exciting bird was a Stilt Sandpiper, an adult in breeding plumage, at
the pond just north of Othello along McMinville Road, viewable from the road. There were also two
breeding plumage Long Billed Dowitchers there. Other higlights included a lost Pine Siskin, at
Laluc's Slope Wildlife Mgmt Area, a very late Audubon's Warbler at Washtucna, a Gray Catbird at
Palouse Falls State Park, a late Hermit Thursh at Kalotus Lake, nesting Shovelers in several
places, and still good numbers of Blue Winged Teal, in a variety of marshy spots, totalling about
110 birds. Also somewhat hard to explain were 4 Common Mergansers flying over Washtucna. Good
luck and good birding.

June 3, Saturday, 9:51 pm Larry Goldstein 360-754-1205. Filing a late report on behalf of Anna
Schlecht of Olympia. Last Sunday 5/28 Anna and a companion were hiking along the beach at the
intersection of the beach and the Lake Ozette trailhead when they had very good looks at a Lark
Bunting. Anna gave me a very good description of this bird and I believe it is a reliable
sighting. Good luck and good birding.

June 2, Friday, 6:35A Dave Beaudette 206-365-2083. This report for June the first in Snohomish
County. At the Fortson Mill Ponds were two adult male singing American Redstarts. These birds
were seen along the main trail. That's all for now. Good birding.

June 1, Thursday, 10:03A Craig Kemper 206 789 9255 Reporting for Wed 5/31 in Kitsap Co. I
relocated the White Faced Ibis previously described by Dick Nelson yesterday afternoon in th
southeast part of the ponded waters. Thank you.

June 1, Thursday, 5:47A This is Dave Beaudette 206-365 2083 This report is for May the 31st in
Snohomish County. At the Monroe Reformatory Farm Pond were two Black Terns. These were viewed
from the shoulder of State route 203. And one Sandhill Crane was seen northeast of the old
