The BC chickadees must be getting close to spreading their wings based on
the parents'
feeding habits and the noticable chitterings of the younguns when mom or
dad pop in.

We hope we catch their first flights. Last time the babies learned to fly
about 1 yard per minute.
so by the end of an hour they could 'fly' (but not land suavely) the
length of our yard.
It is amusing to watch , because the parents continue to attempt to feed
them, as
junior 1 goes north, and juniorette 2 goes south, and junior 3 goes east,
getting
farther and farther apart.

Being a chickadee parent is hard work.

The robins moved nearby but i don't know where. The bewicks wren has been
quiet, don't know
if there's a problem , never found the nest. The bushtits are doing
fine.

White crowned sparrows have shown up, but I don't think they're nesting
nearby.

The neighbors starling seem to be doing poorly.
