Hi Tweets:
I had a good morning at local beaches this AM. We were at Brown's Point
Light House north of Tacoma from 7:30-9 AM and observed 5 Marbled Murrelets
in breeding color. Some were quite close to shore. At the end of the
Hylebos Waterway in Tacoma near 11th St. we saw at least 10 Purple Martins
flying in and out of the bird houses and actively feeding. From Salt Water
St. Park south of DesMoines, I saw a pair of Franklin's Gulls in the water
over near Pt. Robinson. In close, there were 3 Pigeon Guillemots.
At an overlook on the sound near DesMoines, I saw 8 Great Blue Herons
feeding on the shore during the very low tide today.
