Subject: Another Permit Question

Good morning.

I just bought a Parking Stewardship Permit so that I could bird watch on a few
Fish & Wildlife sites (thanks for the help on getting one!), but this weekend
I drove up to the Big Four Meadows/Ice Caves and there was a sign stating that
I needed yet another permit to even hike on the trail. The sign was posted
by the Forest Service. So, does anyone know what kind of permit I need for
this, where I get one, etc.

Thank you!

By the way, I did see a pair of red crossbills in the parking lot of the Big
Four Meadows, so even though I didn't get to hike, it was worth the drive.
Red crossbill was a new species for me. I was expecting a brighter red color,
but they were more cinnamon. And I had to sneak up to get a very close look
in order to see the crossed bill.
