As a further point of clarification, the Access Stewardship decal is for parking on certain
Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife lands. They will be posted to indicate that the
decal is required but you can also get a list of the sites that require the decal.

The Forest Service permits are for Forest Service lands, not all federal lands. National Parks have
their own fee system and Department of Defense has their own system (Range control, are you out there?),

The State Department of Natural Resources has a most excellent public lands map for Washington State
that will help anyone with an interest in which lands are owned or managed by which public agencies.
It's important stuff to know if you like to recreate in the out-of-doors. The DNR also sells
these public lands maps at the 1:100,000 scale for those who want more detail. Actually, the roads
shown on these maps are some of the most accurate to be found on any map set, particularly the
dirt roads that traverse forest lands.
