Subject: Another Permit Question

My decal also faded to pure white.

Following is my communication with Fish and Wildlife. (I opted not to
receive another defective decal as long as they don't ticket me)

In March 2000 I purchased a new access decal. It immediately started fading
and is now (and has been for some time) totally white. The decal from 1999
is still in good condition.

I am a birder, I don't mind paying my share for upkeep of wildlife areas.

What to do about this current issue? Please advise.

I'm sorry to hear that your vehicle access permit has not held up well. We
are hearing of similar experiences and are working with the print vendor to
determine the cause and extent of the problem. We have alerted our
enforcement officers to not ticket vehicles with faded or blank decals.

If you would like, I can send you another decal, although at this point, it
may fade also. If you would still like another decal, please respond with
your mailing address and the document number of the hunting/fishing license
if you purchased one along with your decal.
