..............Saw 2 Northern (Bullock's) Orioles flying around in the fir
trees by my mobile home this aft. This is a rather 'neat sighting' as
these species are uncommon in this area, and this is the 1st time in all
my years at this mobile home park that I have seen these Orioles.
..............One of the resident White-crowned Sparrows around Columbia
Sportswear in no. Portland(where I work) apparently decided to fly in a
open freight door and take a tour of the insides of this huge bldg. I
saw him at 6:00 am in the boot dist. department, and then saw it no
more. Hope it found its way out. Saw a White-crowned sparrow in the
parking lot the next day at lunch, but don't know if it was him or one
of his comrades.
