Greetings:

The Washington Department of Ecology, Shorelands Program's collection
of Washington State marine shoreline oblique aerial photographs is
now on the department's internet web for public viewing. Those of you
who do a lot of birding on marine shorelines can now literally get a
"birds eye" view of your favorite locales.

You can go to the Shorelands home page at
http://www.wa.gov/ecology/sea/shorelan.html and click on the
Shoreline Aerial Phots icon.

Or you can got directly to the aerial photos home page at
http://www.ecy.wa.gov/apps/shorephotos/

Once you're there, just keep clinking on the shoreline to drill down
to the place you want to fly over. Or start at Cape Disappointment
and fly the coast north to Cape Flattery.

Here's a few popular birding places...

Nisqually Delta

Point Brown and the North Jetty, Ocean Shores (before the major
erosion during the El Nino of 1997-98)

Bowerman Basin, Grays Harbor

Have fun!
