Columbia Estuary Report - 6/11/2000

It has been raining like a son-of-a-gun for about 3 days
straight now.

A BARRED OWL was calling from the forest above Lyngstaad Heights
on Friday in the Lewis and Clark District very near where the
roadkilled bird was found early in the week (Oregon DeLorme p70 c3).

A single RING-NECKED DUCK has been at the Neawanna Wetlands for
about a week. A RED-NECKED PHALAROPE was reported there Monday.
A RED CROSSBILL was making a "breep" call that sounded a lot
like a Least Sandpiper this morning from the top of a large
SITKA SPRUCE.

Mike Patterson Alas, to wear the mantle of Galileo,
Astoria, OR it is not enough to be persecuted
celata at pacifier.com by an unkind establishment,
you must also be right.
