Central Basin Audubon had a field trip to the Okanogan Highlands over
the weekend. Fighting rain, 1/4" hail, and even a period of snowfall,
we managed to see over 100 species as a group. The most interesting
sighting was one or possibly two Eastern Phoebes, seen near Havillah.
I need to retrieve the descriptive notes from another member of the
party, but the two birds looked different to me. I managed photos of
both birds, but haven't had the film processed yet. When the photos
come back, I'd like some feedback from "experts" that are familiar
with plumage variation in the species. Please contact me individually
by email at home: hill at cbnn.net

The NG field guide indicates breeding in SW Alberta. Any comments
from the BC folks on breeding potential in the area?
