Hi Jane,

We stayed at the Cave Creek Ranch once about ten years ago. I remember
the birding in the area was excellent, though my record-keeping in those
days wasn't very good, so I can't be real specific about everything we
saw. I do remember Blue-throated and Magnificent Hummingbirds and
Elegant Trogon in the vicinity of the ranch, Olive Warbler in the higher
mountains, and Montezuma Quail near Cave Creek Junction. We had a small
house surrounded by ancient willows that were full of birds, it was an
enchanting place.
