hi tweets:

looking for some suggestions for some great birding spots this coming week.
i have fallen into a 5 day stretch with no obligations, and want to take off
and see WA and do some birding. i am planning to just head out east and
wander where my interest takes me. i am thinking about going up into some
of the higher elevation areas. i am targeting some of the harder to find
birds such as grouse, ptarmigan, three toed woodpeckers, owls etc. can
anyone offer some advice about what areas will be accessible this early in
the year?? also any advice about where NOT to go, since i will be on my
own? i do have four wheel drive and love to hike. also would consider
going all the way to idaho if anyone has any suggestions for some areas
along the border...

also, anyone out there in eastern wa tweeterland that would like to meet up
and bird together next week?
this is a great chance to show off all of your great birding skills and your
knowledge of the local area!!!!

any and all suggestions greatly appreciated.

thanks and good birding to all.
