Teresa and I did the Nicolai Mt Breeding Bird Survey
Route this morning. It begins on the Nicolai Mt mainline
and goes north to Brownsmead. The weather was cold and
drizzly.

The species count was 59 (11 year av=62.6; range 59-68) with
significantly low numbers of WESTERN FLYCATCHER and WARBLING
VIREOS.

Also curious, no Canada Geese.

On the plus side: HAMMOND'S FLYCATCHER at Nicolai Mt and a
singing AUDUBON'S WARBLER at Brownsmead.
