Spent part of the afternoon at Black Lake Meadows (1510 to 1635) ...
warm and clear, but rather breezy. Hardly the best time or
conditions, but still, I did see:

Mallard - 3 on pond
California Quail - heard along tracks
Killdeer
Spotted Sandpiper - feeding on muddy pond shore
Steller's Jay
American Crow - mostly heard
Tree Swallow - many
Violet-green Swallow - some
Black-capped Chickadee
American Robin - one carrying food to nest
Cedar Waxwing
Song Sparrow
Red-winged Blackbird - mostly males, some juv's and females
Brown-headed Cowbird
House Sparrow
