Greetings -

Recently I completed compiling and entering Place Names for eastern
Washington into Don Baccus' web-based Pacific Northwest Bird Database
Project at http://birdnotes.net - and please note the absence of a
"www" in the URL.

There?s quite a few Place Names I added, some with complex
hierarchical nesting. As with the western Washington Place Names I
added in February, it?s based largely on Terry Wahl and Dennis
Paulson?s "A Guide to Bird Finding in Washington" plus a few other
sources. If you want an outline to the nesting hierarchy, which is
handy for understanding how it all fits together, send an e-mail
request directly to me (not to Tweeters). At 16 pages, the hierarchy
is a bit much to post or send unsolicited.

At the very least I've found the database to be a painless way to
maintain personal lists for the places I bird often. With enough data
for a location, the seasonal patterns start to show up. Give it a
look.
