Because of allergies we had to practically run around the south end of
Spencer Island on
a beautiful day. Between 9am - 11 am, we saw (in order of our most
interesting):

immature GREAT HORNED OWL, hiding up in the trees on the east side being
harrassed by a few
crews, it was easy to find, but hard to see, but it flew to new perches
several times, and we
finally got some great views.

OSPREY swooping down and grabbing a gob of grass for its nest

a very robust HAIRY WOODPECKER
WESTERN TANAGER
WILLOW FLYCATCHERS all over the place
YELLOWTHROAT, a few
MARSH WRENS every few feet
BARN, VIOLET GREEN, TREE SWALLOWS
SWAINSON'S THRUSHES on every turn
YELLOW WARBLERS
BLACK HEADED GROSBEAKS
Am. GOLDFINCH

CEDAR WAXWINGS with youngsters, more than I've seen in a long time

several SPOTTED SANDPIPERS
KILLDEER
SCAUP at a distance
GADWALL
SONG SPARROW
GREAT BLUE HERON
REDWINGED BLACKBIRD
BC CHICKADEES and offsprint
RED TAIL HAWK pair
VARIED THRUSH
WESTERN WOODPEWEE
HOUSE FINCH

there's more out there but we were sneezing them away.
