Incidental birding while driving back from Spokane to Seattle Sunday, stopped
to see the Spokane peregrines and Tricolored Blackbirds in Grant County.
Posted directions sure made it easy to stop the truck, walk fifty yards, look
and see the birds. Felt like I was cheating.

Not sure how common White Pelicans and Egrets are in Grant County, but saw
two White Pelicans and six Egrets just west of the Tricolored colony (north
side of 28, at milepost 71.4). Also fairly numerous Black-necked Stilts and
Avocets, along with assorted ducks.

Single Turkey Vultures (for Diann) on I-90 at milepost 81 (on June 15) and
top of hill just west of Spokane (on June 18).
