Wednesday, June 21, 10:36 AM. Alice Gillette, 783-9566. Yesterday I saw a NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH in
Golden Gardens Park at the pond at the north end of the park. There's a family of them hanging out
in the bushes on the east side of the path, south of the bridge. I called the other line and they
said that this was fairly unusual, although it is on the list within the last 50 years sighting.
Anyway, I'd never seen them before, so there it is for you!

Tuesday, June 20, 8:28 PM. Brian Bell, 425-485-8058. Today I both saw and heard the OVENBIRD
near Packwood, from 12:30 until 3:00pm. The bird was singing most of the time, from about 15-25
feet up in the trees, but occasionally was actually down on the ground going through typical
walking OVENBIRD behavior. The whole time it was mostly around the area where the pink and white
flagging is, as originally reported. Good birding.

Tuesday, June 20, 6:56 PM. Dave Beaudette, 206 365 2083. Today, June 20, I went to the Packwood
area in Lewis Co and saw and heard the OVENBIRD at about 8 am. The bird was singing about 15-30
feet up in the second grove of Douglas firs, but was also seen lower in the trees. To reach the
site from US 12 at Pack..(rest of recording lost, could not reach Dave by phone).

Tuesday, June 20, 6:50PM. Ryan Shaw, 360-491-1084. This morning at 6 am I observed the OVENBIRD at
Packwood at about one tenth of a mile back from where the pink flagging pavement marks the spot.
South of Vantage, about .8 miles south of the state park, on hunsingroad, I observed the BLACK
THROATED SPARROW by the right side of the road where Gene Revelas originally reported it last
week. That's about it. Good birding.

Tuesday, June 20, 2:42 PM. Steve Mlodinow. Today at Lowell Riverfront Park there was a pair of
EASTERN KINGBIRDS, at a place where they have not been known to nest before, although certainly
they have nested within a few miles. Lowell Riverfront Park is on Lowell River Road. Go to the
parking lot and walk towards Everett as opposed to away from Everett. In a short distance you'll
pass a picnic bench with a grill. About a hundred yards or so beyond that there are some fairly
large trees on the left, and the KINGBIRDS were hanging out there. Also present today were a pair
of BULLOCK'S ORIOLES. Good luck and good birding.
