Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This
report was made Thursday June 22. If you have anything to add call Harry

A singing OVENBIRD was found June 19 west of Camp Sherman on the east
slope of Three Fingered Jack, near Jack Lake.

A GREAT-TAILED GRACKLE was in Plush June 19.

The YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO is still at Malheur NWR Headquarters, and the
LEAST FLYCATCHER is still on territory at Page Springs. The REDSTART is
still being seen along Indian Ford Creek north of Sisters.

A female GADWALL with chicks was on the North Spit of Coos Bay June 18.
HEERMANN'S GULLS are now moving along the coast in increasing numbers. A
RED PHALAROPE was at the South Jetty of the Columbia River June 16. An
AVOCET was at Port Orford June 17. A MOCKINGBIRD was east of Toledo June
17.

On June 18 a GREAT EGRET, 3 GREEN-WINGED TEAL, 3 GREATER YELLOWLEGS, and
a WILSON'S PHALAROPE were at Ridgefield NWR. Two BLACK TERNS were at the
Fernhill Wetlands in Forest Grove June 20. A pair of GREEN-WINGED TEAL,
and some FORSTER'S and BLACK TERNS continue to be seen at Fern Ridge
Reservoir.

A BREWER'S SPARROW was on territory June 21 in a clearcut near Cave
Junction. On June 16 two singing NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH were along Salt
Creek a little over a mile east of the falls. BLACK SWIFTS were also in
the area that day. This area is near the summit of Willamette Pass
southeast of Eugene.
