This evening after work I walked through Black Lake Meadows. The
noteable observation was a hummer conveniently perching in the
sun-light atop a curly-topped Doug-fir snag, plenty long enough to
satisfy myself that it was a juvenile ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD, a species
not on the B.L.M checklist card. Otherwise....

Birds seen (in taxonomic order):

Mallard
Red-tailed Hawk
Killdeer
Anna's Hummingbird
American Crow
Tree Swallow
Violet-green Swallow
Black-capped Chickadee
American Robin
Common Yellowthroat
Spotted Towhee
Red-winged Blackbird
Brown-headed Cowbird
House Sparrow

Total number of species seen: 14
