Thursday, June 22, 10:01 am. Dave Beaudette, 206-365-2083. I have just been informed that my
directions on how to find the OVENBIRD in Lewis County that I put on the Birdbox several days ago
have disappeared. And as far as I know nobody's put those directions on the Birdbox yet, so here
goes. From US12 at Packwood, at the Texaco station, take the Skate Creek Road, go about three-
quarters of a mile, and turn right onto Cannon Rd. I found the bird about 5.8 mi from this
intersection. At about 4.3 mi up the road is the end of the pavement, at 5 mi there will be three
roads taking off, go left for about .8 mi. In the site where the OVENBIRD is, there is a small pile
of rocks along the right shoulder, and a piece of pink flagging tape with black banding. Hope you
find the bird. Good birding.
