I went on the Seattle Aububon trip lead by Fran Wood this past Thursday. The
highlight of the day was finding a pair of WHITE-HEADED WOODPECKERS on
Umpatnum Road on the way into the campground. We also ran into two carloads
of Brits on a birding tour of Washington State. We were able to locate the
woodpeckers for them; they were quite pleased and otherwise may have missed
this target bird. Otherwise the season is past it's prime, although we did
pick up a fair representation of "the ususal suspects".
