Friday, June 23, 10:04 AM. Mark O'Burley, 324-0742 I camped out Thursday night at the OVENBIRD
site and it was singing between 5:08 and 7:00 am Friday morning, very persistently. After that it
was singing only intermittently, and for very short songbursts, seemed to go to the ground,
probably feeding. So the bird is still around.

Saturday, June 24, 10:03 AM. Craig Kemper, 206-789-9255. Reporting for Saturday, June 24, from the
Iona sewage treatment plant outside Vancouver, BC. The GARGANEY was relocated this morning at
9:19 am. The bird is in the second pond to the north, feeding in the southwest corner. Thank

Saturday, June 24, 4:07 PM. Bob Morris, Olympia, 360-943-8600. The OVENBIRD was still at the
same location near Packwood this morning, Saturday morning. It was singing intermittently in the
rain from about 8:45 to 12;45, when it was finally seen reasonably well by most of the observers
there.

Saturday, June 24, 6:32 PM. Stephen Mlodinow. today Dennis Duffy and I started the morning in the
Teanaway area where there were good numbers of the usual stuff, including 27 VEERY and 24
CATBIRDS. We also had 2 AMERICAN REDSTARTS, a male and a female, just west of Liberty on Williams
Creek. We took a circuitous route back to Everett via the OVENBIRD and it was singing in the
sunshine around 3:00 this afternoon. Good luck and good birding.
