Subject: Hummingbirds suddenly disappeared?

Hi all,

A quick question for you: Has anyone else observed a sudden dearth of
hummingbirds visiting their feeders?

For the past three days (since Thursday or Friday), I haven't seen one
hummer visit my either of my feeders. The nectar that's in it is fresh, the
feeders cleaned regularly, and--up until about a week ago-I had to refill
the thing once every three or four days. Now--nada, zip, zilch.

What is up with that? Is anyone else observing the same thing?

By the way, last year I had hummers at my feeder until early August. In
fact, the months of June and July were the heaviest times of use. So, as you
might imagine, this comes as some surprise (and confusion) to me.

And I know that they're still around; yesterday morning, I saw one flying
near a townhouse window in South Bellevue. Of course, as you might imagine,
this only makes me more curious as to the reason behind the sudden
"boycott."

Thanks,
