Mine did the disappearing act about a month ago. They were all over the
feeders and then nothing for about two weeks. Then they were back and
drank heavily and fought over the feeders. Then about two or three days ago,
they quit coming except to fight. No matter what their other duties, they
always have time to fight off each other. They are extremely skittish and
very wary when they do try to sneak in and have a drink, so I am suspecting
that what I see this "second" wave is juveniles who are low in the pecking
order and not hung around humminbird bars and learned how yet
