Anyone observing a Burrowing Owl in eastern Washington is urged to
contact Peggy Bartels who is doing a status survey for Washington
State Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Peggy would most appreciate a phone message left at (509) 575-2651.
She would like to have observer's name and phone number, date of
sighting and location of sighting (preferably very specific like
road intersections or an odometer reading distance from something
that can be located on a map).


Thanks. Your observations will help develop an understanding of how
the Burrowing Owl population may have changed since the last extensive
survey effort.
