Tweets,
One minor suprise for me doing point counts in our urban sites last year
(Shoreview, Discovery, Carkeek, Schmitz, Camp Long, Pioneer) was just how
common Hutton's vireo is. I think many people tend to overlook this species,
but it is actually quite common in many of our forested parks. As an addition
to Rick's Discovery Park sightings I also had one over on the Wolf Tree trail
on Saturday. I should mention that while many people are aware of their
zwee, zwee song; during the winter I often hear a call that can be best
described as a buzzy chuckle.

To identify a species should not be enough to quench one's thirst,
a proper thirst must seek to understand every facet of the bird's
existence.
