Tweeters,

I am amazed at how fast we can go from one person's expression of feelings to a thread that is unpleasant to read.
I would ask two things of all of us: 1) That we read between the lines to get a feeling for the pain underlying the message (which I at least saw in Gene's initial message); and 2) That we remember in responding that the bottom line is that we want to be heard, and so we need to respond in a way that facilitates that rather than in a way that angers others or turns them off.
I can't imagine that there is anyone on this line that doesn't share a deep concern for the environment and the life that it sustains.
