This is Kas Dumroese with the Northern Idaho / Eastern Washington /
Northeastern Oregon bird hotline for Friday, Feb 25 (2000). This hotline,

A NORTHERN SAW-WHET OWL is residing in Clarkston, Asotin Co WA, according
to Carole Vande Voorde. Take 15th Street up the hill and at the top of the
hill, turn right onto Valleyview. Go about 2 blocks to the Burke's
driveway. Park just before the driveway and walk down the row of trees
along the street. The owl is in the second to the last tree, right above
the whitewash and pellets. It can be very hard to see.

Three male TRI-COLORED BLACKBIRDS were just north of Othello, Adams Co WA
on Sun Feb 20 according to Bob Flores. The birds were in a large flock of
blackbirds 0.3 mile north of the intersection of Lee and Broadway, and
later along McManoman Road. WA DeLorme 53, B-7.

Six TRUMPETER SWANS were on Mann Lake, east of Lewiston Orchards, Nez Perce
Co ID on Feb 19 according to Bryan Jamison. The reservoir is about 3 miles
east of the Orchards along Powers Avenue. ID DeLorme 54, A-1.

I observed 2 drake EURASIAN WIGEONS at Swallows Park south of Clarkston,
Asotin Co WA on Feb 20. The birds were grazing on the grass with American
Wigeons. The park is along WA 129 on the south edge of Clarkston along the
Snake River.. WA DeLorme 43 A-8.
