[snip message about size of chickadee box]
My chickadee bird house is about 1750 square feet. One opening is
human sized and the other is big truck sized. However, the opening
the chickadees use is about 1" in diameter. This bird house is a
semi-abandonded wood shop that is the same size as my house (without
the add-ons to the house). The chickadees live in the ceiling of a
part of the shop that was for painting/laquering--the only part of the
shop that has a ceiling.

I noticed that they lived there becuz they are noisy and they poop
down the sides of the building. I noticed they were chickadees when I
was standing out by my feeder seeing how close I could get to the
juncos. A HUTTON's VIREO came hopping up and came within grabbing
distance of me and my wife--altho neither of us grabbed it of course.
After the vireo vanished, as they do so well being about 3" tall, a
BC Chickadee came to the feeder (usually they go to the suet and not
the feeder) and took a sunflower seed then flew over the shop and
vanished. A few minutes later it was back for another seed.

During warm weather this chickadee or maybe several ferry sunflower
seeds into the shop all day long (from about 1 pm to DUSK actually).
It's pretty wild altho my mother says they gotta go and she owns the
house so eventually they'll get evicted. But I'm not gonna do it cuz
it's against my religion to destroy habitat. :)

PS. Okay I destroyed habitat building the house and shop but I
apologized profusely to all the animals and I was only 13 at the time
and my step-dad was white. So it really wasn't my fault. :)
