I spent a few hours birding the Snoqualmie valley near Carnation with
Michael Mann. We had 51 species (a record for this area this year),
including: cliff, violet-green and tree swallows at Sikes Lake; Fox sparrow,
shoveler, yellow-rumps, and 4 woodpeckers.
