Hi all, I was thrilled to see Russell Link posting because his book
Landscaping for Wildlife in the Pacific Northwest is really spectacular and
will change this area for the better.
One type of bird box that Russell didn't mention in the post is for Violet
Green Swallows. They are available from Rainier Audubon Society ((253) 939
6411 ) and for $20 at my shop in the Pike Place Market right next to the
newstand at 1st and Pike. This bird makes one heck of a nice tenant, although
they never pay on the first of the month.
Our Harris Sparrow is still scratching around in the backyard, although most
of his Golden Crowned buddies seem to have left.
