Actually, the GCWA's (Golden-cheeked's) are already there. They arrive in mid
March and are actively courting by April. Call the Nature Conservancy of
Texas and see if they can get you into Ft. Hood to see the Black-cappeds and
the Golden-cheekeds, as they have a large population at that post. And why?
Four words...Brown-headed Cowbird Control Program. It works, and it's getting
better!
