Is there anyone else out there (beside myself) who is utterly charmed by
Spotted Towhees?

As I sit here and type this post, I'm looking out at my backyard feeding
station. I'm seeing a few dozen of the assorted usuals: juncos,
chickadees, nuthatches, and a pair of Stellar Jays. But on the ground,
flitting underneath feeder and bush, are a pair of towhees; two of the four
I regularly see in my backyard. The male postures with apparent bravado and
pride over his mate. His dark head is held up proudly and his breast stuck
out defiantly. Then, as soon as a breeze rustles the trees, they both
scamper for cover.

Every time I see them, I am charmed beyond belief. Is anyone else out there
completely enamored of them?

Just curious (musing on a Sunday afternoon, I guess).
