Hi, Tweets,

After the fog lifted, I birded Glacial Heritage with Jim Pruske and Dave
Hayden. Among more than forty species that we heard or saw, we saw a color
morph Varied Thrush. This male bird had white eyestripe and wing stripes. His
throat was such a light yellow that it was almost white. The belly WAS white,
an off white. He held still for an awfully long time, long enough for Jim to
get pictures. But when Dave attempted to get closer, he flew off. (the thrush
flew off, not Dave.)
We also saw several Violet-Green Swallows along with a Tree Swallow...I have
to check my records, but it sure is early for the VGSWs!
And.......we heard Rufous Hummingbirds. They were in the Indian Plum trees,
which are the only things blooming right now.
Finally, the Red Tailed Hawks are courting...
