It must be spring, even here in Ketchikan -- heard VARIED THRUSH whistles
this morning. Weather is clear (we've had lots of sunshine this winter!),
below freezing at night, not bad during the day. Had the door to my shop
open for awhile yesterday. Oh ... another bird event: a RED-TAILED HAWK
made a downtown appearance yesterday morning. I watched him sitting on a
piling next to the Stedman Bridge (Ketchikan Creek) for quite a long while.
RED-TAILS are rare here.

Take care of those hummers -- some of them still have a long way to go!
