Hello Tweeters,

I want to apologize wholeheartedly to the person I advised
about going on a bike ride out to Centralia Steam Plant--east of
Centralia off Exit 82. That road is definitely NOT a good place for a
bike ride, or even for a car ride really. The traffic is fast and
steady, and the coal mining operation is now using the road. I went out
there today and was amazed at the changes since I last visited over a
year ago.
I saw some eagles and one of them killed and ate a duck. I have
lost my enthusiasm for birding, however, in the face of the industrial
wasteland that once-beautiful valley has become--strip-mined and
deforested within an inch of its life. Literally.

Sorry to bum anyone out but I wanted to apologize for my bad advice.
