Subject: Raptor cams 2000 - not quite

Hi, Tweets

It's a little early to post a list of raptor cams for the year, but here
are some interesting "pre-season" items. For a nice close-up photo of a
peregrine wearing his telemetry backpack, go to:
<http://www.peregrine-foundation.ca/guelph/gufoto30.html>

Project Track-em, part of the Canadian Peregine Foundation, is an
interesting site also. It has photos and maps of four young peregrines
fledged last year and their meanderings since then:
>http://www.peregrine-foundation.ca/programs/trackem/track.html>

The bald eagle pair at Barton Cove on the Connecticut River in
Massachusetts are nest-building. The camera is on at present and new
photos every five minutes: <http://www.nu.com/eagles/eagles.htm>

For an interesting photo of the effective use of the "eye spots" on a
female kestrel, check this out: Go to:
<http://kestrelbox.com/highlights.htm> then scroll down to "Two in a box .
.. . " and click on that.

Enough fun for the day. I'll post a complete list of raptor cams probably
next month when more species are nesting (i.e., more cams are up).

Cheers, Diann
