Subject: Marymoor Park report (King Co. WA) 3/9/2000, TREE SWALLOWS
Date: Mar 9 17:09:28 2000
From: Michael Hobbs - Hummer at isomedia.com

No fog, no wind, no rain, no sun -- not a bad day at Marymoor, really.

Highlights:

Green Heron Probably same one as last week
Bald Eagle Adult at lake platform
California Quail First in a LONG time
Belted Kingfisher First in a long time, female
TREE SWALLOW At least 3 at lake platform

Heard a quail in the blackberry bush at the SW corner of the dog area parking
lot. Later, I heard and found a male quail at Marymoor West. Possibly the
same bird.

Ruby-crowned Kinglets were singing everywhere.

Another huge flock of Mew Gull on the grass soccer fields in the morning.

Rowing Club ponds featured a pair of Ring-necked Duck, about 20 Green-winged
Teal, and a Common Snipe.

Very unusual day, in that I did not see a Great Blue Heron! Still, I managed
45 species.
